Woman Declared Missing After Sending Snapchat Message "Ready For My Date"

Police in Lincoln, Nebraska are searching for a woman who reportedly went missing after she sent a Snapchat message that she was going on date with a woman she met online

24-year-old Sydney Loofe was last seen in Wilber, Nebraska, last Wednesday and was reported missing the next day. Before her outing, she had sent a photo to her friends on Snapchat with the message, "ready for my date,"

After she missed work at the Lincoln Menards, where she is a cashier, on Thursday, her worried parents informed the Police who have since been searching for her.

Confirming the missing case, Lincoln Police Chief, Jeff Bleimeister told the media that  Loofe, a cashier at a Lincoln hardware store, was last seen Nov. 15 in Wilber, about 40 miles southwest of Lincoln, reports the Lincoln Star Journal.

According to her family, they were aware she was going on a date with a woman she met online, but she was definitely 'planning on coming home that night'.

The family said she also she left her cat and car at her home in Lincoln, adding that her phone was found to have connected to a cellphone tower in the Wilber area, which is about 40 miles southwest of Lincoln but has since been turned off.

Her dad pleaded: ‘Tell her we love her and we’re waiting for her to come home.’

Both cops and Loofe's family have appealed to the public to help find the missing woman. 

Sydney Loofe is described as being 5ft 7in tall and about 135lbs who has a distinctive yin and yang tattoo on one of her arms and the word 'Believe' with a cross inside her left wrist.

She was last seen wearing a Columbia jacket and cream-colored shirt.
