Kachikwu's Petition, Heavy Police Presence At NNPC Headoffice In Abuja

There is a Heavy police presence at the head office of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC in Abuja and this is connected with the petition Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachukwu wrote to President Buhari against the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Maikanti Baru. 

According to sources in the corporation, security was beefed up following reports that some persons were preparing to storm the corporation to protest on behalf of both parties involved in the petition. 

Police vans are parked within the premises while armored truck have been stationed at the roads leading to the corporation's premises. There are snipers positioned at the six watchtowers in the corporation.

Kachikwu met with President Buhari in the state house yesterday over his petition. He, however, did not state the outcome of the meeting to the press. Kachikwu in his petition to President Buhari, accused Baru of insubordination and awarding a $25billion contract without following due process.
